   Cara Erskine creates paintings that explore feminist, queer and revisionist
histories through women's sports and sports icons. She has had solo shows
at Saint Mary's College in South Bend, Indiana and at The Clayman Institute
for Gender Research, Serra House, Stanford University, Stanford, California.
She earned her MFA from the Yale University School of Art in 2002, her BFA
from The Pennsylvania State University, Schreyer Honors College in 2000,
and was awarded a fellowship to attend the Yale at Norfolk Summer School
of Art in 1999. She has taught at Carnegie Mellon University and Robert
Morris University, and her writing has appeared in Dis Magazine and
INCITE:Sports 7/8, Journal of Experimental Media. She lives and works
in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
