   Cara Erskine creates paintings that explore feminist, queer and revisionist
histories through women's sports and sports icons. Most recently, she was
included in the group exhibition Power Forward curated by Astria Suparak.
She earned her MFA from Yale University School of Art in 2002, her BFA
from The Pennsylvania State University, Schreyer Honors College in 2000,
and was awarded a fellowship to attend the Yale at Norfolk Summer School
of Art in 1999. She has taught at Carnegie Mellon University and Robert
Morris University, and her writing and art have appeared in Dis Magazine,
INCITE:Sports 7/8 Journal of Experimental Media, and Demand Utopian Sports.
She lives and works in Providence, Rhode Island.
